Test instance

Unless requested differently by the customer, Flying Fleet usually comes in 2 instances, a test instance and a production instance. Both will use the same software and the database will be synchronized every day after the daily backup from the production toward the test instance.

Administrators shall use the test instance to train their co-workers or to check if a given modification in the setup will lead to the correct results.

To differentiate the two instance, the test instance has a visual banner on the bottom right corner.

In case you need to access something under it, simply move the mouse over the banner and the banner shall disappear.

Doing the copy of the database will bring all the data to the test instance, however, settings (found in "Setup" => "Settings") will not be copied over, allowing for example to use different API keys between the 2 instances or trying a new integration on the test instance without affecting the production.
