Electronic Aircraft Logbook and Techlog

Flying Fleet provides an electronic recording system for movements and technical aspects of aircraft. It consists of:

Aircraft Log (Journey Log)

• Flight recording, flight time, cycles

Techlog

• Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) following scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs
• Flight-relevant technical observations by crew requiring action by properly certified personnel and/or organizations before the next flight
• Non-flight-relevant technical observations entered by crew
• Confirmation by properly certified personnel and/or organizations that entries have been cleared

Checks

• Information about next due maintenance tasks (for Maintenance/CAMO personnel), with e-mail to CAMO and operator upon reaching a predefined warning threshold.

Reservation system

Aircraft acceptance by crew considering the following:

• Information about next maintenance due (for crew)
• Presentation of open items in the Techlog

Certification

The aviation authorities of Switzerland and Austria, like most authorities, do not certify electronic logbooks (as is true for paper logbooks). The authorities' requirement is that the electronic record complies with the specifications of AMC M.A.305(e).

The aircraft log available in Flying Fleet fully complies with these requirements. It replaces the physical paper logbook without requiring a certification process.

A certification is, however, available for the use of Flying Fleet's Aircraft Log by the respective Maintenance organization. This is usually laid down in the Combined Airworthiness Exposition (CAE). We are happy to assist with the preparations and, upon request, accompany the individual certification process. Just let us know.

Redcrest Solutions GmbH provides its customers a confirmation that the aircraft log meets these requirements.

Additionally, a Techlog Backup Form is available to customers, which can be carried on the aircraft in paper form and represents an equivalent to the electronic aircraft log for as long as there is no access to the Aircraft Log (no online connection or similar).
