Roles & Rights

Flying Fleet access rights works on the concept of roles. Member can have any number of roles (from 0 to many), and the roles themselves act as "additive" right access. That means that a role can only give new right and never remove one.

Within the role definition ("Setup" => "Role Types"), a few information like the name of the role, a maximum number of reservations open, MFA requirements and a link to a mailing list can be provided.

Under that, 2 blocks allows to give access either via a right (by choosing one or more rights a given person will receive) or via giving direct access to a particular page.

Giving access via a right usually give access to more than simply one page, and will include the person in the workflows in case of notifications. When a right appears in the list of given rights, it's possible to check which pages are linked to a given right

Giving access via a page will give only access to that particular page, without adding the person to any notification group. To give access to a page, simply select the page from the drop down. Pages are listed with their menu title.

Special rights

• If a person doesn't have at least once the right "User", then this person will not be able to login.
• The "Guest" right should not be given to anyone beside the default guest user used by the system for external movements and more.
• The "Super Administrator" right offers a full access to all functionalities of the software and basically every rights. This right should not be given to too many people.
